Diagnostic Testing 

A variety of diagnostic tests are available and may be recommended to better assess your health or to help monitor your response to treatment.  Please note that lab tests requisitioned from naturopathic doctors in Ontario are not covered by OHIP.  Fees will be reviewed prior to any tests being ordered or conducted. 

Standard Diagnostic Testing from Life Labs

These include tests similar to those ordered by family doctors. LifeLabs is a Canadian-owned company that has been serving the healthcare needs of Canadians for more than 50 years. Today, LifeLabs performs more than 100 million laboratory tests every year, helping healthcare providers diagnose, treat, monitor and prevent disease in patients.

Specialized Lab Testing

Tests offered by specialized labs may be recommended during the diagnostic process.  Some more common specialized tests include:

•    IgG Food Intolerance Testing
•    Salivary or Urinary Hormone Testing
•    Hair Mineral and Toxic Element Analysis (Including Heavy Metals)

In-House Lab Testing

In-house lab tests are available, including urinalysis, which can be used as a preliminary screening test for kidney function, diabetes, and for identifying the presence of urinary tract infections.
